We believe it’s important for the team to collect if they want to, so they can feel the same joys and pains as other collectors and to help test functionality, improving the experience for everyone. That includes buying packs, trading, crafting, being on leaderboards, and participating in the marketplace. Some of these involve random outcomes, which means a team member may end up with a great serial number. Employees always use their own money.
That said, there are some guidelines we have in place:
- No crafting for the first 48 hrs of a new Craftible being released.
- No listing or buying of high-value items (e.g $1,000).
- No ‘sweeping the floor’ for items in upcoming, unannounced Craftibles or challenges.
All marketplace activity can be scrutinized by viewing blockchain data and sales history for individual items. We are also considering adding buyer and seller information to the sales history section on the web app and would love your thoughts on that.
